Terms of use

1. Who we are
Jobvante is offered by Regis Loche, [trading as Jobvante, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KvK number], VAT number [VAT number], address [business address]]. Contact: regis.loche@gmail.com.
These terms apply when you use Jobvante. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. How we handle your personal data is explained in the privacy notice.
2. What Jobvante does — and doesn't
Jobvante helps you organise a job search: it keeps your applications, dates, interviews, CVs and cover letters in one place, shows open jobs from the public careers pages of companies you follow, and offers AI features that review and draft documents with you.
- Jobvante is a tool. It does not find you a job, act as a recruitment agency, or contact employers for you.
- Jobs shown in the app come from employers' public pages. We don't check them and can't promise they are complete, current or real. Always apply through the employer's own ad.
- Company information comes from public web sources, each with a link. It may be incomplete or out of date; reviews from employee review sites are opinions of their authors.
3. AI features
- AI results (reviews, scores, suggestions, drafts) are suggestions made by a computer model. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them.
- The AI is instructed to use only the information you give it and never to invent experience. You remain responsible for everything you send to employers: make sure your CV and letters are true.
- A Match score is an estimate of fit, not a prediction of whether you will be invited or hired.
4. Your account
- You must be at least [16] years old and use the account yourself. Keep your password and sign-in links private.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- [During the beta, access is by invitation and we may decline or end access to the beta.]
5. Plans, credits and payment
Organising your search is free. AI features use credits; each plan includes a number of credits every month:
- Free: €0, 10 AI credits a month.
- Pro: €9 a month (or €79 a year), 150 AI credits a month.
- Intensive: €19 a month, 500 AI credits a month.
- A normal AI action uses 1 credit; features that search the web use 5 credits. The app shows the cost before you start an action. Actions that fail use no credits.
- Credits renew on the first day of each month and don't carry over. They have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- Prices include Dutch VAT [— to confirm with the VAT status of the business].
- Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in My account; the plan then stays active until the end of the period you paid for. [Payments are handled by [payment provider].]
- We may change prices or the credits included. Changes apply from your next renewal and we tell you at least [30] days in advance; you can cancel before they apply.
- To protect the service, an overall monthly AI budget may pause AI features for everyone for a short time.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason, by telling us at the contact address above. [If you asked us to start the service right away and confirmed that you know this, we may keep an amount in proportion to what was provided until you withdrew, such as credits used — wording to confirm with the checkout flow.] We refund you within 14 days with the same payment method.
7. Your content
- What you add — applications, notes, CVs, letters, photos — stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the privacy notice (for example, sending text to the AI provider when you click an AI button).
- Only add information you are allowed to use. Don't upload other people's personal data without their permission.
- You can download your data and delete your account at any time in My account.
8. Fair use
Don't use Jobvante to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, or create false documents or claims;
- copy, scrape or resell the app or its data, or access it with bots other than the app's own features;
- get around credits, limits or security, or try to reach other people's data;
- overload the service or the websites it reads.
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, after a warning unless the breach is serious.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Jobvante available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If we stop offering a paid feature you paid for, we refund the unused part. If we close the service, we give you at least [30] days to download your data.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as a missed job, a missed deadline or lost income, nor for decisions you make based on the app or its AI results. Our total liability is limited to [the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or €100 if that is more]. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in My account → Sign-in & security; cancel a paid plan first. When your account is deleted, your data is deleted as described in the privacy notice.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we publish the new version here with a new date and tell you [by email or in the app] at least [30] days before important changes apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Jobvante before then.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to solve any problem. Disputes go to the competent court in [Rotterdam], unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to the court where you live.
